Artfully Queer Exhibition - (UN) MASKED

The 2008 4th Annual Artfully Queer Exhibition presented by the Gay and Lesbian Community Centre Inc (GLCC) was opened by Tina Fiveash, one of Australia’s leading photomedia artists, on 19 September. The photos from this years Tassie Devil Mardi Gras float are now online. We expected to deal with one or two hundered images. Instead, we were sent over 1,000 photos! Plans are also underway for next years float - so if you'd like to participate, let us know.

GLC gets social online

Today the GLC join the online social revolution and started it's own groups on both Facebook and MySpace. "We had 11 people join the Facebook group within the first 2 hours of us being online - which is just fantastic" said the groups co-ordinator, Duncan Johnson. The GLC hope the online groups will improve the social networking opportunities and promotion for its future events.
